Eric Stromquist and Ken Smyers recently hosted Troy Harvey for a second interview on their weekly show, Control Talk Now. The show features exciting news and developments within the building controls industry and highlights the professionals behind these innnovations.

In their second show together, Troy took Eric and Ken deeper into the disruptive technology behind PassiveLogic’s Autonomous Building Platform. First up was a walkthrough of the Hive Controller and the ways in which it helps technicians breeze through the install and setup of their controls systems.

“This is definitely a leap forward from the traditional technologies we are used to” -Ken Smyers

The bulk of the show, however, was spent exploring the software that PassiveLogic has developed to unlock the true potential of the Autonomous Building Platform. The trio took nearly an hour on a deep dive to uncover how such a platform completely changes the game throughout the entire building lifecycle — covering features such as the “draw, don’t code” user interface, auto-generated bill of materials, guided wiring process, and PassiveLogic Solutions Store marketplace for third-party applications. Before jumping into the software, Eric had this to say:

“This is like the Matrix, if you stop watching the show right now it’s like taking the blue pill. Everything will go back to the way it was. But, if you continue watching for the software demo, it’s like taking the red pill and everything is going to be different” -Eric Stromquist
